About Me

What I Do?

My name is Richárd LÁSZLÓ and my profession is ornamentical blacksmith.

For many years I have been making sculptures, custom designed furniture and creative objects that were previously only made of wood.

I love challenges and even more I love history. That is why my attention has turned to weapons of the old ages. At the moment, making weapons with a Viking Age feel is my main interest.

Through a collaboration with my friend, Gábor from TANDERA Design, I am able to give my weapons a professional and authentic engraving, but at the same time they are not just ornaments, they have a real edge and cutting ability.

On New Roads

Why this direction?

A few years ago, I was approached by a famous foreign director to make some historical themed objects and iron ornaments for a medieval movie.

My work at that time broke new ground, as I later received even more commissions and some of my work appeared in a few medieval-themed movies and series. I was so inspired that years later I started to make weapons from the period again.

Our new works

I’m an artist so I don’t know how to do elaborate decorations. That’s why I work with a friend who does the engraving. He draws and engraves the designs on the finished weapons. This is his field.

Engraving

Engraving is one of the most creative forms of decoration, as the creation, drawing and placement of the images is a wonderful work of art in itself. What’s more, we work with authentic designs, which makes our products truly unique.

What can we engrave? Almost anything. The only limit is your imagination.
